The alphaclub
Didn’t evolution put God out of a job? Why does God allow suffering and natural disasters? Doesn’t science disprove God? Why do Christians condemn homosexuals when God made gays and loves everyone the same? Can’t “healings” today be explained by “positive thinking” or by poor medical diagnosis?
If you or a friend have ever thought questions like these but have never found a satisfactory answer or didn't have anyone to ask, then the alphaclub is for you. The alphaclub meets every Wednesday evening from 8:00pm at Weatherspoons in Tonbridge to ask questions like these and to try and find some answers.
It isn't a 'course' so there won't be any expectation on you to commit to coming every week; you are welcome to drop in as-and-when you are available. The rules are simply that no question is too big or too small, and your opinion matters.
The alphaclub is open to anyone; whether you have completed an Alpha Course or not, whether you go to a church or not, whether you have doubts about God or not. So come along, enjoy a beer or a glass of wine, share your thoughts and explore some of the questions in life.
