Help I'm new here

Prophetic picture

A couple of weeks ago Mark Gilpin made a call for anyone in the church who was creative to come forward for prayer. I ran up as to the front as five to 10 minutes beforehand he said anything I was transfixed looking at the Holy Spirit coming down through the roof in a rainbow vortex / spiral that wrapped around everyone in the building and spread out further; and I felt very strongly that I wanted to paint what I saw. What Mark said confirmed that what I was seeing and feeling was of God. I had no knowledge of the church's prompting in the arts, especially painting at that time.

The image was so vibrant it stayed with me, but I didn't have the right equipment to paint it as I have not painted for a number of years.

A short time later I was baptised. There were no fireworks or heavenly choirs, just an enormous sense of relief and peace that I was now more deeply where I should be with God. This sense of peace has grown leading to rediculous amounts of joy.

The next day I found myself in an art shop. When I got home I didn't even take my shoes off before the paints were out and being used. Once I painted the picture of the Holy Spirit I have not stopped. Despite what else has been going on in my life I have been full of joy and excitement. I have learnt how to use my computer in ways I never thought possible to enable me to share my images. God has given me back a passion for art a hundred fold.
