Astigmatism
I was born with astigmatism which is a common form of visual impairment in which part of an image is blurred due to an irregularity in the curvature of the front surface of the eye. This meant I had to wear glasses for activities such as driving, working with computers and going to the cinema.
My eyes have remained unchanged throughout adulthood. In June 2003 I visited a church in Nigeria and had prayer for my eyes to be healed. Afterwards my eyes changed and I could see much more details than before. Upon returning to the UK I had my eyes tested again and the prescription showed they had changed. The optician said that my eyes are now 'normal' and that I no longer need to wear glasses.
