Osteoarthritis
In 1997 I started suffering with quite severe back pain. I was eventually diagnosed with an arthritic spine. I had injections of steroids and pain killers into my spine and eventually I was given a treatment where they put 12-inch-long needles into my back and wobbled them about. They were attached to a machine that zapped the nerve endings. There were no pain killers it was excruciatingly painful. I was told that I would have to have this done every six-to-twelve weeks.
In the meantime my husband had died and I'd had a sixth child. Life was pretty hard. Things like putting the children into car seats and carrying washing were so painful. I couldn't put my baby in the crib and I couldn't walk the children to school.
One day two people from a church in Nigeria visited New Life Church. When they prayed for me I fell to the ground, unable to move. But as I lay there I realised I wasn't in any pain. I was scared to get up, thinking that the pain would come back, but it didn't. I was able to stand up straight, bend, walk, run and lift things without any pain.
I went back to the hospital and had an MRI scan. The consultant said, "I don't understand it but looking at this MRI scan there is absolutely no reason for you to be in pain." All the signs of what they had diagnosed before had gone.
