New Life Church groups and activities
New Life Church has a loads of different groups and ministries. Some are for church members only, but most are open to all. For more information about any of these events please contact the church office or, where applicable, contact the relevant person.
Alpha: Alpha is a ten week course that is a great opportunity for you to explore Christianity with no strings attached. Our courses currently start in January and September and take place in Tunbridge Wells on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings. Click here for more information.
Art and Craft group: On Saturday mornings The Old Ambulance Station in Tunbridge Wells becomes a frenzy of artistic talent. Whether you are into painting, sketching, sculpting, etc. 10:00am to 12:00pm every Saturday.
Bethel Sozo: Sozo sessions follow God's desire for people to be completely whole through deliverance and healing. For more information please email sozo@newlifechurchonline.co.uk.
Discipleship Groups: Our Discipleship Groups are for New Life Church members only and are where we meet to study the bible, pray and have fun together. They take place at different times during the week (mostly evening but we do have some daytime groups) and they meet at various locations - usually in members' homes.
Encounter Evenings: At various times throughout the year we run Encounter Evenings for church members. These are held at The Old Ambulance Station in Tunbridge Wells and the content of the evenings vary. However, the aim is to meet with God while worshipping and praying. Look out for details of forthcoming encounter evenings in the e-bulletin.
English Project: This is our English language school for people who want to learn English as a foreign language. It takes place at The Old Ambulance Station every Wednesday at 4:00pm. Afterwards there is a cafe where the students can practise their language skills. The lessons are free but students are asked to pay for their learning materials. Helping Hand: Helping Hand is where we support our local community by assembling a team of skilled and/or willing volunteers to take on jobs that may be too difficult for one person to tackle on their own. Jobs we have completed before now include gardening, garden clearance and decorating. So far the team have mainly operated in the Southborough area but we will consider jobs throughout Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge. Ignite (youth): Our youth group is for church members aged between 11 and 18 and is mainly based at The Old Ambulance Station in Tunbridge Wells. We meet on Friday evenings (for a combination of social activites and worship and teaching) and on Sunday mornings during the main meeting in Tunbridge Wells. We also run various other events throughout the year including trips, weekends away and camping at the Newday youth event. Kidz Klub: Kidz Klub is loud and messy fun and is open to anyone aged between 4 and 11. It takes place every Friday during term-time from 5:30pm to 6:45pm at The Old Ambulance Station in Tunbridge Wells. Kidz Klub also has a minibus that picks up and drops off children throughout Tunbridge Wells and Southborough.
Lunch and Chat: This is an opportunity to for people to come and have lunch and, er...chat! It is open to all ages (although no children please as we don't have any childcare facilities) between 12:30pm and 2:00pm on Thursdays at The Old Ambulance Station in Tunbridge Wells.
Membership course: We regularly run membership courses which is your opportunity to learn more about us, and our opportunity to get to know you. If you'd like details of the next membership course please contact the church office or look out for details of forthcoming courses in the e-bulletin.
Men's Football: Open to men of all ages, ability and fitness (seriously!!) We play five-a-side in Tonbridge once a fortnight on Monday evenings. Exact times and locations vary depending on the time of year. For more information please email craig@newlifechurchonline.co.uk.
Play and Chat (mums and toddlers group): Our mums and toddlers group meets every Tuesday between 10:00am and 12:00pm at The Old Ambulance Station in Tunbridge Wells and is a great chance to chat to other mums and carers while the children have a great time.
Pops and Tots (dads and toddlers group): Pops and Tots is where dads, grandads or male carers can come with their toddlers to meet together and enjoy coffee and bacon butties (er, that's for the adults!) We meet on the first Saturday of the month at The Old Ambulance Station in Tunbridge Wells between 10:00am and 12:00pm. Click here for more information.
Word Alive: At various times throughout the year we run Word Alive evenings for church members. These are held at The Old Ambulance Station in Tunbridge Wells and focus on in-depth study of the bible lead by New Life Church Lead Elder, David King. Youth drama: Drama for (yes, you guessed it...) youth! Lead by members of Illuminate Theatre Company, it takes place fortnightly on Wednesday evenings between 6:00pm and 7:15pm. The cost is £2.50 per session.
